Although a significant portion of Arnold Hodgkins' collection of original works painted during and after his World War II service was acquired by the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, there are still a number of paintings and sketches available for purchase.

Nature Paintings
Arnold paintings could often be described as Naturalism combined with elements of Surrealism. Arnold immersed himself in nature in his own private refuge (Deerfoot Gallery) north of Toronto. And he went into the bush in Cross Lake every year for a month at a time to gather inspiration, sketches, and quick paintings which he could work from in the year ahead.
Part of a private collection, the cabin below is a painting of the cabin which Arnold built in the early 60's in Cross Lake.
